From the year 1892, Kalna Hospital was handed over to United Free Church of Scotland Medical Mission to control the property. Besides, on 1^st August, 1896 at Purbasthali, 1^st June, 1905 at Kulingram and 1^st April, 1906 at Jamna some dispensaries were set-up with Government Aid. In1909. A floating medical unit was also set up with the guidance of Jilla Board.
