       Built by maharaja teja chandra bahadhur in 1809 ad these atchala brick Temples are made out of auspicious numerical combination in two concentric Circles and dedicated to Siva. The outer circumference contains 74 temples and inner circumference has 34 temples. The temples Represent beads in a rosary symbolically

Rash Mancha

        It is situated near Lalji Temple. It carries the tradition in the field of sculpture. Before Dolyatra festival, here holds some religious activities. It has been renovated recently by Archaeological Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

Pratapeswar Temple

           Paised on a high podium this temple is a good specimen of the 19th century rekha deul with curvilinear sikara and single apched entrance. A roofless brick-built Rasmancha stands nearby.

LalJi Temple

           Being the oldest in group this brick built Panchavimsati. Ratna temple was erected in 1739 A.D within an enclosed compound. There is a mountain like temple known as Giri Govardhana Temple inside. The racades of the temple are also decorated with rich terracotta ornamentation.

Krishna Chandraji Temple

           This magnificent brick-built panchabim Sati-Ratna Temple with an elongated chala type verandah in front having three arched entraces and furnished with terracotta plaques was constructed in 1751-55 ad. Its racades are also embellished with terractta plaques.

Gopalbari Temple

           This Temple consisting with 25 monuments signifies a perfect sculpture. On the walls of this Temples many Terracotta are ornamented. There is an image of copulation engraved here. A hall adjacent to the Temple for devotional dancing and musical performances was erected. It is an indication of traditional sculpture. Its location is Kalna Bhaduri para.

Jagannath Temple

 It is actually located at Chhotodeuri Para whose modern name is Jagannath tala after the name of Lord Jagannath. Three Temples stand here side by side and were founded by his Goodness, Maharaja of Burdwan, but for want of renovation and proper care, it is under ruins. Idol of Lord Shiva is existing here. It is an attraction to the pilgrims of Kalna and its surroundings areas.

Mahaprabhu Bari

Mahaprabhu Bari

          Once Mahaprabhu had a trip to Kalna by boat. He sailed himself. The scull has been kept at Kalna and all devouts still worship it. The manuscripts of Punthi composed by Mahaprabhu still exist in Mahaprabhu Temple. This holy Temple is taken for one of the best pilgrim’s destination of the Vaishnav.

Siddheswari Bari

           The old name of Kalna is Ambika. It was entitled after the name of Goddess Ambika Siddheswari. In the year 688 A.D, it was established by Rishi-Amburish. First time the Goddess was worshipped through the ritual of earthen-pot (ghatt). The ghatt sticks to a stone winnowing tray. This auspicious image is made of a single Neem log. This image represents the Bamakali Idol. The responsibility of this Goddess was shouldered on the part of -1.Sri Taraprassana Adhikari, 2. Kaliprassana Adhikari and now, the 7th generation persionality Sri Sonatan Adhikari is the priest of this Temple. Long ago scarifies of human to the altar of the Temple was in vogue. But at present he-goat, ram, sugarcane, gourd etc. take the place of human. The Goddess is worshipped during the new moon in the month of Kartick.

Shyamsundar Bari

With the instruction of Mahaprabhu, Lord Nityananda married two daughters, Basudha and Jahnnabi Devi of Suryadas Pandit the brother of Gouridas Pandit a great devout of Mahaprabhu. So from the point of nuptial concern, Kalna is the Father-in-law house of Lord Nityananda. The plum tree by which the above-mentioned wedding took place is still physically present here.

The foot impression of Lord Sree Chaitanya

Lord Sree Chaitanya and Lord Nityananda stepped into Kalna in the dwelling house of one of his best devouts, Gouridas Pandit at Kalna. Lord Sree Chaitanya rowed by himself to Kalna from Santipur in 1500 A.D. This scull has still been preserved at Kalna. The tree under which Mahaprabhu took rest still exists.At present it is identified as “Tentultala”, alias “Amlitala” at Mahaprabhu Para. The foot impression of Mahaprabhu is still legible here.

Anantabasudev Temple

Anantabasudev Temple

   This famous Temple is situated at Shyamrai Para. It is about 250 years old. His Honour, Maharaj Bahktipromode Puri Goswami had renovated this Temple about 60 years back. Now Moharaj’s nephews, nieces and their husband have got the responsibility of looking after it. About 250 years back, his Highness Maharaj of Burdwan founded this Temple.

Ramsita Temple

The tradition of Pathuryamahal has been multiplied because of the existence of this Temple. Idols of Lord Ram and Sita have been installed in this Temple. This auspicious Temple which is a greater attraction to the pilgrims is at the point of demolition for want of renovation. Yet the greatness and enormous power is well known to all. The advent of pilgrim far off distant still regularly occurs.

Naambrahma Bari

           One of the great pilgrimages at Kalna is Naambrahma’s Temple. The great sadhak, Bhagaban Das Babaji, who had attained divine grace through austere religious practice, installed the idol of “Naambrahma”. From hearsay-Once when he was absorbed in meditation, the-then Maharaj of Burdwan arrived at his dwelling place. Bhabagan Das Babaji began shouting- please chase him, please chase him. Maharaja took it for an insultation to him. At this Maharaja began about to leave the Temple. Just then, Bhagaban Das Babaji welcomed the Maharaja with all his politeness, the king was surprised. Later, Bhagaban Das Babaji himself revealed the truth and said to the Maharaj, he was just chasing the goat who was champing the Tulsi plant at Brindavana. After ward, the incident was proved true.

Kamalakanta's Dwelling

Sadhak Kamalakanta took birth at Vidyabagish Para,Kalna. He was a devout to Goddess Kali. He used to pray to Goddess Kali in a regular manner,paying all his devotion and founded a Kali Temple here. Devout Kamalakanta was quite able to convert alcohol into milk and showed it to the Burdwan Maharaj in a Newmoon. The seat for meditation of devout Kamalakanta and his survivors are still present here.

Bhabapagla

Sadhak bhava Pagla

Bhabapagla is famous for his arduous practice. He founded the “Temple of Goddess Bhabani” near Kalna Old Hospital. His songs were so favourite that it was sung by almost all of the people belonging to Kalna and it surroundings. Many super natural incidents encircling the life of Bhabapagla have been taken place as hearsay. He was practiced to play on harmonium with the help of his leg.

Pashan Tala

                Pashan Tala is interlinked with hearsay. The hearsay has been handed down from generation pashan talato generation. This 170 years old adorable place is very attractive and respected to the pilgrims or citizen of Kalna and its surroundings areas. It reveals, three daughters of a priest while coming back to their shelter after taking bath, was chased by some miscreants who were willing to spoil their chastity. They gradually were converted in to stone after they prayed to god. Goddess Jaychandi is worshipped here, these days. 20 years back, when a man tried to dig the stone underground became mad. The worshipped takes place every last day of  Baishake.

Pathuriamahal Ghat

          In the past it was used for the purpose of Ferry-ghat. Now a day it has got its identity as an auspicious bathing-ghat in the name of Late Naresh Chandra Kumar, an extraordinary personality and donor of Kalna. It is located at Pathuriyamahal, Kalna.

Buddha Bihar

        Bouddha Bihar exists at Amlapukur, Kalna. It was founded by Upendralal Barua, Ananga mohan Barua and Nirmal ch. Barua who were migrated from Bangladesh before the partition. It was about 15 years old and is now directed by joint effort. The Idol of this foundation was imported from Thailand.

Datankathi Tala Masjid

         It is an age old Mosque containing eight domes. It remained years after years demolished. About four years ago it was renovated and reconstructed. This historic Mosque being situated at Datankathi Tala bears a tradition of Kalna.

Balir Bazar Masjid

           This Mosque of repute is founded about 200 years back. This Mosque is called Jamme Mosque. The founder of this Mosque is Khairuddin Majhi. It is an old traditional Mosque consisting with three domes. It is situated at Balirbazar, Kalna.

Christ Seva Ashram

Christ Seva Ashram

       This welfare ashram has occupied its position at Taltala, Kalna. It was established in the year 1963. The roll strength of students is about 350. Out of these, 200 Boys and 150 Girls. The present In-Charge of this Ashram is father Joseph Desouza.

Old Mission

           It is a Church of North India situated at Kalna Japat. Its tradition and culture is so great that it has extended the Historical and cultural importance. It is approximately 100 years old. Old Samajbari

           In 1783 A.D, this Grave Temple is situated close to the Grave Temple of Tejaschandra Bahadur, the husband of Maharani Kamalkumari the mother of Sri Mahatabchanda Bahadur. This has been existing at Jabani Para Kalna, nearest to the Kalna Municipality.

       This construction is now handed over to Kalna Mahis Mardini Institution School. Actually it was an assets setup by His excellency, the Maharaja of Burdwan. Actually it was meant for the private use of the then Queen.
